BYKOTAs Take Grand Tour

House of Hope of Pee Dee and
Courtney McGinnis Graham Commuity Shelter

BYKOTAs Receive Blessings From Tour

The senior adults who toured the House of Hope of Pee Dee and the Courtney McGinnis Graham community Shelter received at least two kinds of blessings--a 'blessing bag' and the blessing of learning about these ministries and how they could help.

Mitch Gowan, Director of Adult Ministries,  conducted the tour and gave each of the group a blessing bag which can be given to a homeless person.  They were also given empty bags which can be filled with water and other small essentials to be given out.  The EBC S.I.S.T.E.R.S. can help with filling the bags.

Mr. Gowan explained the criteria for men being admitted to and being allowed to stay in the men's shelter and also at the women's shelter..  BYKOTAs saw the dormitories and the kitchens and eating areas of both shelters.

Those who reside in the shelters are expected to attend chapel each evening and on Sunday.

The women's shelter also has an enclosed outside patio so that the women and their children can enjoy  being outside in safety.

Mr. Gowan gave the bYKOTAs much information; and, everyone enjoyed the tour.
